What to do in the garden right now
Pick a month. This is the list I actually work from — Garden Zone 7A. Adjust a week or two either way for yours.
Do this month
- Harvest garlic when the fifth leaf browns
- Start fall brassicas in trays, in the shade
- Keep the tomatoes picked so they keep setting
Leave it alone
- Fertilising anything in a heatwave
- Sowing lettuce — it will bolt by Thursday
