Tyler Gardens (“the site,” “I,” “me”) is a personal garden website. This page explains what information may be collected and how it is used. Plain language on purpose.
What I collect
- Contact form — name, email, optional garden zone or town, topic, and your message. That is so I can reply.
- Newsletter / garden notes — email address (and any fields the signup form shows). That is so I can send the calendar and occasional notes you asked for.
- Server and hosting logs — standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, kept by the host for security and reliability.
- Cookies / analytics — the site or host may use basic cookies or privacy-friendly analytics to see which pages get traffic. I do not use that data to build advertising profiles about you.
How I use it
- To answer messages you send.
- To deliver garden notes or a planting calendar you signed up for.
- To keep the site secure and working.
- To understand which guides are useful so I can improve them.
What I do not do
- I do not sell your email or contact details.
- I do not share your messages for marketing lists.
- I do not ask for your home address on this site.
Third parties
Hosting, email delivery, and (if enabled) a newsletter provider process data only to provide those services. Retailer links on kit pages may take you to Amazon or other stores; their privacy policies apply on their sites.
If I add affiliate tracking later, product links may include tracking parameters. See Disclosures.
How long I keep it
Contact messages are kept as long as needed to reply and follow up. Newsletter emails stay until you unsubscribe. Hosting logs follow the host’s normal retention.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from garden notes using the link in any email.
- Email me via Contact to ask what I have on file or to request deletion of a message or signup, and I will handle it promptly.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, I will update the date at the top of this page.
