What to do in the garden right now
Pick a month. This is the list I actually work from — Garden Zone 7A. Adjust a week or two either way for yours.
Do this month
- Start tomatoes and peppers under a light
- Direct sow peas, spinach and radish
- Cut back last year's perennial stems
Leave it alone
- Digging wet red clay; wait for it to crumble
- Bare soil; leave the mulch where it is
